Villa Umkhaya is a wonderful villa, situated in a unique estate. The villa is furnished with great taste and luxury. You can feel the owners' love for Africa. It is a wonderful place to relax, in the villa, at the edge of the pool, on the magnificent terrace or around the boma. It is an ideal base to explore the Panorama route, the Kruger Park, the Limpopo province,... We would love to come back.
A real dreamhouse settled in a wonderful environment! When arriving at the Zandspruit estate, you are hosted by a very helpfull and friendly team. You can ask anything and they will respond and help you in any way…so first impression is great! But the best is yet to come: meeting the villa Umkhaya and its surroudings, time to be speechless. Very spacious with every comfort present that is possible. Inside each detail matches with the style of the villa. Design and quality chosen materials, anywhere you look. A very luxury feeling indeed, but still like a home instead of decadent. The Drakensberg mountains are always prominent from the patio as an unmatched view, with a resident impala or kudu passing by for a quick drink…what more can you ask for? At night a lovely atmosphere is created by the warm lightpoints, while having a dip in the heated pool, or tasting the local wine. Many game reserves, blyde river canyon excursions, the growing entertainment at Hoedspruit… more then enough to explore! Visit, enjoy it, truly come back to it!
This summer marked my first visit to South Africa, and I can’t wait to go back. We stayed at the beautiful Villa Umkhaya. From the moment you step inside, it feels like home, elegant yet cozy, creating a truly welcoming atmosphere. Villa Umkhaya was our luxurious retreat in the bush. On the estate, we went on a bike ride, spotting giraffes and zebras along the way, and even had antelopes curiously visit us by the pool. We indulged in an in-villa massage and enjoyed an exquisite culinary experience from a private chef. Moments that made our stay truly unforgettable. The area offers endless possibilities for remarkable safaris and adventurous experiences in breathtaking landscapes, yet close to all essential amenities. We also explored nearby Hoedspruit, discovering its charming restaurants, unique shops, and adventurous activities. This was an experience I’ll treasure forever!
